We currently operate 5 schools.  Ibencho school with 160 children, this is where the orphan boys attend. Eberinde school with 75 children, Springhill school with 168 children, and Highway school with 120 children.  Highway is the school that the orphan girls attend.

This is a small part of the Ibencho School, with some of the children.

Funds are needed for teachers salaries and for textbooks and other needed items.  Schools are one of our big expenses.  They try to collect school fees from the community children that attend, but people are so poor, it is very difficult.

This is Highway School, with the girls dormitory in the background to the right.

This is the Eberinde school, the windows and doors have been installed.  It is still waiting to be plastered.
The Color Blue

The Color Blue

Some people have asked us why the schools, the orphanages, the widow's home, are painted blue.  It is based on this text from the Bible:
Numbers 15:38 Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:
15:39 And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:
15:40 That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.
