Malek Scholarship Program

Malek Scholarship Program

Has been set up to help the young people that are graduating from high school, be able to attend college if they desire.  It has been a great concern, what will happen to them when they complete high school and leave the orphanage.  In Kenya, a parent gives his children a piece of land to build their home on.  These children do not have parents to give them land.  Many of the orphanages in Kenya, do not sponsor their children through high school.  A high school education will give these children some advantage, but the desire to see them attend college has been a burden on our hearts.  The Malek Scholarship Program will help this cause.  It is named after the physician that has agreed to sponsor the 1st child for college.

This year, there are 23 children in high school, 2 children in trade school, one in college, and 2 others waiting for acceptance to college.

These young people are currently in high school. The Malek Scholarship Fund will help to make it possible for them to continue their education.  College will cost approximately $135/month - depending on the courses they take.

Many of the children do not have a sponsor.  To sponsor a child in the orphanage, is $40/month.
